The 2017 edition of IACCM’s (International Association for Contract & Commercial Management) annual contract management event, the IACCM Americas Conference, goes live on Wednesday in Toronto and the excitement is building up. By bringing together analysts, industry experts and practitioners from procurement, contract management, legal and other related disciplines, IACCM’s series of annual conferences across North America, Europe and Australia play an important role in shaping the future of contract management.
SirionLabs is proud to be associated with this year’s event in multiple capacities – as a sponsor, presenter, and exhibitor. If you are going to be at the event, do stop by our booth #4 to say hello to our onsite team. And don’t miss the various insightful presentations featuring SirionLabs, including a session jointly presented by BP and SirionLabs (details included later in this article).
The event will be held at The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto from Oct 11-13. Toronto, known as The World’s most resilient city (Grosvenor Group, 2014), is home to over 14,600 tech-related companies, world’s soundest banking system, and over 12 key sectors keeping the city’s economy vibrant. Detailed information about the event is available on the event website and the agenda is available here.
With hundreds of delegates from Canada, US, UK, Australia, Brazil, Germany, etc., the 2017 edition is probably the biggest IACCM Americas event ever! Not surprising given the impressive line-up of over 50 speakers who will be sharing stories of innovation, change and success, compelling keynotes and inspiring case studies. This year’s event will focus on how creative approaches to contract and relationship management are enabling businesses to become a ‘commercial powerhouse’.
Complex supply ecosystems demand a new approach to contract management driven by modern technologies such as big data, analytics, cognitive software, etc. The opportunities for transformation abound in this challenging environment. This is the underlying theme of the three presentations/speaking sessions featuring Claude Marais, Co-founder and President at SirionLabs and Prakash Nagaraju, VP Customer Success and Global Implementation at SirionLabs.
Redefining CLM to Realize the Power of the Connected Enterprise (Oct 12, 13:55)
Claude will be joined by Jason Donner, Head of IT Infrastructure Sourcing at BP for this insightful presentation. The session will explain how shifts in the procurement landscape and technology advancements are redefining CLM to be much more than previously expected. By enabling a connected enterprise, CLM is delivering unprecedented value retention, efficiencies, relationship enhancement, analytics and bottom line impact.
THE GREAT DEBATE: In the future, Procurement will be a sub-element of Contract Management (Oct 11, 16:10)
Claude is a panelist in this debate alongside experts from Microsoft, MetLife, Boeing, KLA-Tencor, Meggitt and Center for Dispute Resolution.
Contract Tech Track (Oct 12, 10:30 am)
This track offers participants in-depth insights to how technology is transforming contract and commercial processes, contract terms and skills. It features innovators from the technology sector, together with thought leaders who are deploying these technologies to fundamentally change the way that trading relationships are formed and managed. Prakash will be speaking here along with experts from Exari, iManage and Palisade Compliance.
The event will also feature the IACCM Innovation Awards 2017 that recognize leaders (individuals and teams) who are raising the profile of contract and commercial capability in their respective organizations (we are extremely proud of the IACCM Contracting Excellence Award won by Vodafone’s Group Head of Commercial Contract Management Reinhard Plaza-Bartsch at the IACCM Europe conference in May 2017 for the transformative work done by his team in collaboration with SirionLabs – details available here).
